BAKING POTATO WEDGES THE EASY WAY

So today I thought I'd tell you a little trick I've discovered while I was making burger with potato wedges yesterday.

We were tired of the usual fries and wanted to have some wedges instead.  Alot of companies have come out with all kinds of tasteful wedges that you can just pop in the oven for 20 mins and enjoy.  Our favourite is the 'Savoury Extra Crispy' by McCain.  But enough of the free advertising.  The thing I hate the most is having to turn/flip them over after so much time - so I came up with a solution.

I'm always forever in a rush, whether I'm rushing to get supper ready for the kids before work, rushing AT work, or rushing after work.. it doesn't matter, I'm always rushing.  So since I lead such a hectic life, I'm always trying to come up with faster ways to do things.  Not a bad or wrong way - just a faster way.

Half the time when I'm making these potato wedges - whether frozen or homemade, I always forget to, or never have time to turn them over as instructed on the bag.  So yesterday I got 'smart' and decided to stand them all upright and guess what?  It worked!  Not only did they all come out great, but I didn't have to turn them at all!  I just put them in for the required time and presto!  Al dente!

SO INSTEAD OF LAYING THEM FLAT ON THE COOKING TRAY - STAND EACH POTATO WEDGE UPRIGHT!

My perfectly baked wedges...

Try it!  (See the video here)
