So Today I became curious enough and opened the door to my son's room. He's been in there for a week, lol. Only coming out to eat and shower. Final term is wrapping up at university and it's crunch time. He's taking Graphic Arts Design but really doesn't seem too happy doing the 'art' part of it.
I don't get it.
I thought Art and Design went 'hand-in-hand'?
He is doing this huge poster-size art work on his wall and is now adding in all the details. This requires A LOT of shading and he doesn't seem too content on doing it.
"Too time consuming," he says.
"I don't want to be an aritist, I want to be a Graphic Designer."
"What's the difference?" I asked, but he was too frustrated for the moment, to answer me. I will try again later.
All I managed to get out of him in regards to this assignment is that it had to involve a few of the people in his class... including himself. Why there is a spatula and pipe involved is anyone's guess.
"What's up with the clouds... and that 'nipple' down below?" I wondered out loud. Oooh... he was getting mad.
"That's not a nipple! It's an eye!" he yelled.
Oooookaaaay then. I quietly vacated his room and shut the door behind me. I'll check back in a few days...
I still don't get it!
